Aeonic Arts is the practice of Dolores Puckett — and, at heart, a restoration project. Long before astrology became a magazine column, astrologers like William Lilly, Guido Bonatti, and Dorotheus of Sidon practiced horary: a rigorous branch with a real working method. Most of that craft was thrown out when astrology went mass-market. Aeonic Arts exists to bring it back — to study it, practice it the way it was actually done, and keep it intact for people who want the real thing.

What "traditional" actually means

Most of what passes for astrology today is a 20th-century product: sun signs, twelve-word horoscopes, the Mercury-retrograde meme cycle. That's astrology stripped of its operating system. The tradition Aeonic Arts works from — William Lilly, Guido Bonatti, Dorotheus of Sidon — is the intact system: significators, essential dignity, aspects, reception, and the motion of the Moon — each part with a defined role in how the chart is read.

How a reading works

A reading applies the historical method to your question, exactly as the old masters would have. A chart is cast for the moment the question is understood; the significators are identified and their condition weighed; and the chart is read — by aspect, by sign, by dignity — to its traditional judgment. You receive that judgment and the full reasoning behind it: a faithful, classical interpretation offered for insight and reflection. It is a reconstruction of a historical craft, for educational and entertainment purposes — not a prediction of future events.
